OK  What does this mean for today??  You can drive around town or campus. About 40 miles per charge and up to 40 miles per hour depending on Load and terrain.  If you are 15 miles or less to work this is the perfect commuter vehicle. To the Grocery & Drug Store, Banking and Post Office. Drop the kids off at school. Or teenagers that need thier own transportation. For providing building and grounds maintenance these trucks and vans are great. Transporting mowers and trimmers, Brush and trash removal, Food service delivery vehicles.
 
OK What do I need to maintain?? Make sure brakes and tires are ok. Keep batteries charged from any standard 110V outlet  On Board Charger will maintain battery pack. 1 hour will give 80% charge complete charge in 4-6 hours.
 
OK So Whats under the hood??   Thats the best part. That's what  people don't yet realize.  An electric vehicle is really  very simple.  There will be a battery pack ( Lead Acid Battery or Nickel Metal Hydride or Lithium Ion) or yet to be developed.  An electric motor
(not a complex Internal combustion Engine) and some type of controller.  Thats it!! 3 basic components!!
